Ours

While looking at his pictures I suddenly remember how our relationship was for the past two years and ten months. We met in an awkward way and then surprisingly fell in love to each other. We never pass the “getting to know each other” stage because he immediately courted me and so I did say yes. At that time I never felt of any fear of committing to someone like him whom I don’t know that much because what I had in my mind is that I am afraid that if I will say no, I might lose him, and regret it for the rest of my life. So while into a relationship all we did is have researches and discoveries about each other’s personality which made me think that it made our relationship more exciting.
As time goes by, we’ve known each other, both weaknesses and strengths. We opened up everything because we don’t want secrets in a relationship. So no matter how it will affect our relationship the most important is you confess it. So far so good, we were able to accept everything and that made us fall in love with each other even more.
Like other relationships we passed different trials. I broke up with him three times because of being childish and weak. I lost my hope for several times because I don’t know until when are we going to keep this relationship as a secret to my family. And I lost the hope that if one day I will confess it to my parents will them able to accept it? Or things will get worse. But if there are three times when I broke up with him, I also asked him to come back to me three times. Those rainy days in our relationship made me remember the very reason why I said yes the time he was courting me.

The love for each other keeps on growing. The relationship we treasure is getting stronger. Especially now, that we have our own little angel.

A Dreamer

One thing that is really amazing and worth to be celebrated is that despite the rejections we've received still we continue on reaching our dreams. Even though there are thousands of reasons to give up there would still be millions of reasons why we should keep on believing. I think that is one factor why all of us still breathing and why we keep on going because the main point of dreaming is the desire for change. We wanted change since we never get contented.

A masterpiece

This song was composed by my father. He made this for me and to other dreamers out there. We do have dreams so we have to work on it. We might face challenges along the way but with that desire to make those dream into reality it would give us the strength to keep striving. Dreams don't stay in our imagination  instead we better do something bring it to reality and be happy of what we've reached. We should focus on it for the brighter future.

FOCUS TO MY DREAM
By: Cipriano R. Monton

I
Morning has broken again,
But not like yesterday it seems
Nor those passing days that had been;
Today I’m firm to focus my dream
II
Gone were those computer games,
Nor those telenovelas that seems no end,
For today I’ve decided to let it end;
I have to focus to my dream.
III
I shall be there in the big flat screen,
I must be firm in following this dream,
I will overcome all those obstacles,
Negative thoughts, I’ll rid them all.
(Refrain)
Imagine myself in a big flat screen,
Talking to people inspiring their dreams,
Broadcasting news or any events,
Shall in the future you’ll hear my name.
IV
Today I’ll map again in my destiny,
No computer games but research studies,
No telenovelas but doing assignments,
This way I shall realize my dream.

Surprises

 Surprises
By Diane Marie Monton

I’m a transferee here in Martinez University (MU) were it is one of the best university in the whole country. Most of the students here are known in their own field. There are also daughters and sons of businessmen, celebrities, politicians and other prominent people. And if you’ll ask me how was my first day? I wanted to say it was awesome but it was really not. Well you see I’m just a commoner and very far from my schoolmates. I just admitted here because I was able to passed the examination for full scholarship so what do you expect. But everything in that day is just a full of first impression. As time goes by I met people whom I adore so much.
In my section, my three classmates and I are top rated bullied victims in MU. They’re Lisa, Brian and Bricks. We are different from my “sosyalera” classmates in terms of personality and appearances. Let’s start with Lisa. She was called us pig because of her body structure. She’s fat yet a very good cook. She’s not a commoner like me. As a matter of fact they own an exclusive restaurant located near the university. She’s the clown of the group and she always makes sure that her friends will wear those smiles always. Yes, she really loves to see her beloved ones smiling. She always cheers us up whenever we feel down on ourselves because of the discrimination of the people. Though she’s experiencing the same she just ignores it. One line from her that I would never forget is that “No matter how they define you the most important thing is you don’t show that you’re affected.”
Moreover, a man wearing eye glasses and always have books in his bag pack is my friend Brian. Yes his nerd as how they call him. He is a genius one as if whatever problems that our math teacher will give he was able to solve it. He is also good in science and other academic subjects. He came from a family of lawyers and doctors. He’s the one who help us out in reviewing our notes and I could say his indeed a good tutor. He is the eldest among his two siblings. Despite that convenient life he has he still choose to work and live independently. If you thought he just want to prove that he can well I’ll tell you you’re wrong. He’s working because his helping street children. That’s one thing that others don’t know, the other one is that Brian is a heartthrob type of guy. Behind those glasses a young looking man with a good heart is the one who will easily capture the heart of the girls out there. I asked him once why his wanted that nerdy look and I was surprise of what he answered. He said “I don’t want to be liked by others just because of my appearance and be popular.” I asked him again with curiosity if why he don’t like to be popular for I’m sure he’ll have lots of friends. Then he said looking straight in my eyes, “I don’t need one million or more friends I just need true friend.”
Lastly, one of the talented people I knew is Bricks. He is a gay and was rejected by his family because of it. He’s working hard in order to live. He do lot of jobs like for instance beautician, impersonator, dancer and painter. He is talented but no one knows about that except us his friends. He was teased as a stickman. Yes he fight with our other classmates because he has a perception that if believes that he done nothing wrong he’ll never allowed people to discriminate him and his friends. He was sent to guidance office for several times but still standing. He always says to us to never quite. He always enlightens us and we are thankful to him.
People judge us according to what they see and what they’ve heard. Then they will gossip it to others and people would believe the same thing. What if it’s not true? Then you were able to lessen the self-esteem of that person. What will you do? After knowing these amazing people I came to realize that we fail to see what real beauty is. Having that positive outlook, ability to lengthen your patience and when things goes to much fight for it, be a good friend, helpful, wanted a simple yet wonderful life and serves as a gift by the others is what is really outstanding. It is beauty.
